Here are 6 quick tips to ensure your JoJo tank is kept well maintained and in good working order. These tips can obviously be applied to all other brands of polyethylene water tanks.
Inspecting a JoJo tank on a tank stand will require two people: one person to secure & hold the ladder while the other inspects the tank
1. Check inlet, outlet and overflow for leaks (3 monthly)
2. Check that the lid remains firmly clipped in place (3 monthly)
3. Check condition of stainless steel mesh sieve (annually)
4. Check that the gutter entrance into the tank is completely sealed (3 monthly)
5. Check presence of mosquito larvae in tank water (3 monthly)
6. Check the sludge level and internal cleanliness (every 2 years or as required).
