Do I Need A Water Filter?

When silo tanks come to mind, many think of the agricultural applications they are used for, such as animal feed storage – both liquid (like molasses) and grain but silo tanks are also ideal for many industrial applications.
Silo tanks are made from a variety of materials, including mild steel, stainless steel, concrete, fibreglass and various types of polymers like polyethylene. Perhaps the most useful and chemically resistant ‘plastic’ tanks are made from high quality polyethylene. Polyethylene silo tanks can be used for storing various chemicals in granulated or powder form or in liquid form. Silo tanks can also be used for mixing chemicals and liquids together and the pointed cone at the bottom (where there is usually a removable lid to an outlet) makes transferring the contents of the tank to another container easy and convenient. Various foodstuffs and ingredients can also be stored in silo tanks.
A silo tank stand is almost always required to enable easy access to the outlet as well as to support the weight of the silo tank and its contents. Poly silo tanks are made in various capacities as well as wall thicknesses; the type and specific density of the chemicals to be stored in the silo tank will determine whether standard duty, medium duty or heavy duty silo tanks are called for.
In South Africa, we recommend silo tanks and silo tank stands manufactured by JoJo Tanks. JoJo silo tanks are available in the following capacities:

- 300 litre
